The Jay is a severalspecie of medium sized, usually colorful, passerine birds in the crow family.
He weighs up to 170g and is 33 to 35cm tall.
His tail is long and straight cut, moreover he got wide, round wings and a strong medium- length beak. He got lengthened head feathers, which he can put up. His upper surface is reddish grey, the upper tail cover and the rear part of the rump are white. The elytra are strinkingly black and blue banded. In europe the Jay is prevalent almost everywhere. He prefers diciduous- and mixed forest, but also gardens, parks or cemeterys. Acorns, Hazelnuts, peas or fruits are counting to his nourishment.
