Descripción: The artwork aim to depict the overall appearance of Hierodula patellifera and details of the mouthpart. Hierodula patellifera is a large mantid species that could be commonly found in Asia. The colour varies from green to brown. It has two symmetrical white spots at the back and small protruding warts in yellowish white on the arms (raptorial legs) as signatures. The joint between abdomen and chest usually has a purple or brown pattern. The close-up on the head is to investigate the formation of its mouthpart and its relationship with the structure of the head.
