Descripción: "Rhododendron mucronulatum, is a rhododendron species native to Korea, Mongolia, Russia, and parts of China. Is a shrub up to 3 m tall . It grows quickly – in 15 years it reaches a height of more than 1.5 m. It grows 10-15 cm per year. The shoots are brown-red, later becoming gray. Apical shoots grow until September. The leaves are oval up to 8 cm long and 5 cm wide, light green, turning brown by autumn. The flowers bloom at the ends of the shoots of 1-6 pieces, the buds are pointed. Blooms before the leaves bloom in April-May, blooms for 2-3 weeks. The flowers are pink with all shades from red to purple with maroon flecks, there are also white flowers. The flowers are large, up to 5 cm, odorless.
The petals are velvety on the outside. In Korean cuisine, they are used as a decoration."
