TITLE: Oarfish
TECHNIQUE: Pencil with elements of paints and black pen
YEAR: 2015
DESCRIPTION: I have seen ocean only twice yet. First time in the childhood, second – in my head.
He was whispering by light waves and I had a feeling of salt on my hands. I was warmed up by his sun reflection. He poured grandeur in my eyes as well as oarfish dominates the sea.
This work reflects the memories that filled my soul back when I was a little girl. Enthusiasm, strength, misunderstanding, doubt, pain - all this can be seen in wavy silhouette of oarfish. He rushes in spite of everything, he overcomes all obstacles, all the treachery and jealousy, he is always in front. The noble, but so lonely. Inspired by the size that can reach the fish - I chose it because it impacts on the situation in the underwater kingdom – such as art can influence on the lives of hundred thousands of completely different people. It can their minds, catch them and give a hope for a brighter future. This work gives me hope to see the ocean for the third time.
