TITLE: House sparrow
TECHNIQUE: watercolor, ink, nib
YEAR: 2015
PUBLISHED: No
DESCRIPTION: Drawing nature is one of my passions, natural structures represent for me one of the most important sources of inspiration.
The mane subject in this case is the study of birds - house sparrow. I wanted to capture representative traits, plumage color, which gives a certain feature of the house sparrow. Three-dimensionality is suggested by the chicken feathers form, by the texture, shape, size and color.
The selected work transpose zoomorphic structure -study of birds sparrows into plastic expressions.
The work is made on sugar cane paper by using mixed technique: watercolour, nib, ink. Starting with a background in brown ink over which I drew in watercolor the body of the sparrow. Like pages of a manuscript, the composition area is decorated with stylized vegetal and nibs notes harmonizing the visual space.
My drawings always contain notes of calligraphy witch gives them a unity and particular vision.
