The diversity of hawk moths

Descripción:
The Sphingidae are a family of moths (Lepidoptera), commonly known as hawk moths, sphinx moths, and hornworms; it includes about 1,450 species. Sphingid with stout bodies. Usually, their bodies lack any hairs or tubercules, but most species have a "horn" at the posterior. When resting, the larva usually holds its legs off the surface and tucks its head underneath (praying position), which, resembling the Egyptian Sphinx, gives rise to the name 'sphinx moth'. For my thesis I chose six species of the family Sphingidae: Smerinthus ocellatus, Acherontia atropos, Daphnis nerii, Deilephila elpenor, Laothoe populi, Hemaris fuciformis. For your design I used watercolor and regular colored pencils, black ink and White lead.
