Work in progress, Abacaxi - Helena Loução

My name is Helena Loução and a months ago I have graduated in Design of Communication at FBAUL in Lisbon. Since then I have been working as freelancer in Illustration and Graphic Design and most of the times the two mix with each other.

I've been doing some work on illustration of food, recipes and cooking. As I saw this competition, I thought I could choose a fruit or vegetable, that is still food and is also part of scientific illustration.

Some days ago, my mother bought this pineapple and that was when I chose my model. I thought it would be a big challenge to draw it. It was just at the forth try that I was pleased with the resault, and I hope you will be two!
