Work in progress, Araucaria, Jardim França Borges - Joana Franco

This tree is one of the Classified trees of the Jardim França Borges, a beautiful romantic garden in the heart of Lisbon. The illustration was made digitally from the start. I used photographic references and made visits to the garden for observation and note taking during the process.The digital process allowed me to choose one color to draw, and then change it in the end. It also allowed me to control the brush characteristics, such as texture, tips, hardness, etc. In my opinion there is a trick, regarding this kind of digital illustration, and that is not to fall in temptation to erase one billion times, it can make the process so much slower...
