Endangered bird from Brazil. It is 13 centimeters long and can be found to the south of the Amazon, on the lower Tapajós. It has a short and rectilinear beak, with black maxilla and yellow or orange mandible; brown supercilium and eyestripes; the chest is of lighter color than those of its congeneres; enlonged central retreats, white distal half and green and grey upper parts.
The creation process had the usage of reference images of other species for the pose, in order to guarantee a higher fidelity of the bird's morphology. The technique chosen here to make this illustration was painting with colored pencils, and also using nankin pen and white pen for the details. It took about 10 hours of work, between making the sketches and the final art
