Description:
For the course of illustration during the first semester of the third year of BA studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of Ljubljana we received the task of illustrating an exotic species in collaboration with the botanical garden of ljubljana.
My was the cardamom plant.
The process of the work was followed by mentor doc. mag. Marija Nabernik.
It includes site-specific studies that were made at the botanical garden, sketches, color studies and the reserarch of the forms of the different parts of the plant.
Later with this material and with the help of some previous scientific illustrations I created this composition in which I included the various flowering phases.
The technique used is that assigned by the mentor, the watercolors.
