The Tokay gecko is native to some Pacific islands and Asia.
The Tokay is a nocturnal arboreal gecko, and it´s habitat is rainforest where it lives on trees and cliffs and also frequently adapts to rural habitation.
He feeds on insects and small invertebrates. It is a large gecko, reaching up to 35 cm in lenght and has a soft skin to the touch.
The animal can change colours of it´s skin, to blend into the environment.
Compared to other gecko´s species, the Tokay has a robust build, with a semi-prehensile tail, a large head and muscular jaws.
