This drawing is a study of the anatomy of a horse into motion. the musculature of the horse is such an important inspiration for artists . Artist used to study the musculature of horses in order to understand it and to draw prefect and beautiful horses in their paintings. The drawing is also showing the behavior of contracted and retracted muscles
