Orchid: phalaenopsis - Anna Shmeleva
blue, pink and spotted phalaenopsis
Home-made orchid Phalaenopsis – a bright representative of the "classic" orchids with beautiful, large flowers, like exotic butterflies. Phalaenopsis (Latin Phalaenopsis) is referred to the genus epiphytic (grow on trees), less often to lithophytic (grow in stones), plants of the Orchid family. They grow in the Philippines, in Australia, Asia, like a tropical humid climate. Phalaenopsis with blue flowers look very exotic, but that orchids with such a color of flowers do not exist in nature, their DNA does not have a gene that gives such a color to the petals. Blue flowers are obtained by simple staining, which is carried out using a special technology. When watering, the paint is simply washed out of the plant, and it starts to bloom with natural colors.
