Description:
Morphological characteristics: 24-23 cm length and 11-13 cm wing length A medium-sized crow, distinguished by deep pink-buff plumage and long slender, and decurved bill.
Prefers steppes vast open bushlands covered with Atraphaxis bushes. Solitary or in pairs outside breeding season. very shy and vigilant, difficult to flush. Flight short and low above ground with quick wing-beats, landing involves on bushes, jumps to the ground when alarmed and moves away while running or flying low above ground.
Occurs in Iran and have not been reported from other regions yet. A fairly common resident in central desrt basins mostly in Zygophyllum steppe. The southernmost record in from the khash area in Sistan-Baluchestan.
