Roe deer and fawn - Jon Halls
Roe deer and fawn
I drew this roe deer and her fawn after coming across my first deer sighting in my local woods in London after I had sat still drawing a mushroom for 30mins. She ran away from me as I stood up on my side of her child, and the nurture that was evident by her protection was an aspect I wanted to express in the nuzzling of her child. This brush with deer was something I didn't believe to be possible so close to the city, and was a special moment that I wanted to capture.
