Espècie o element:
Lion (Panthera leo), african cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer)

Descripció:
African lions (Panthera leo) predate on the savanna's megafauna, mainly wildebeests (Connochaetes taurinus), zebras (Equus quagga), warthogs (Phocochoerus africanus) and buffalos (Syncerus caffer). In some cases also dare to target giraffes (Giraffa camelopardalis) and even young elephants (Loxodonta africana).
Lions are the only cats that hunt in a coordinated group. If their prey is an animal much larger than themselves, like a buffalo, a pride of lions must rely in their superior numbers, cooperating to isolate the weakest member from the herd. But the outcome of this encounter is still uncertain, because those big horns could easily kill an adult lion too. To bring it down requires a great amount of strength and coordination.
