A Grey Heron (Ardea Cinerea) is going to enter the water to catch its prey.
The Grey Heron or Ardea Cinerea native throughout temperate Europe and Asia and also part of Africa, is resident in wetland areas.
It is fitted with long fingers spaced among them very useful to move on in muddy ground. Its long beak sharp at its side, along with its long neck and its peculiar muscles enable powerful and instantaneous movement to catch the prey.
It researches food also in deep waters thanks to the length of its legs that give it the name of Wading Bird.
The Grey Heron is considered a very patient bird for its hunting technique: it often stands still on one leg in the water, once located the fish it is caught an thrown in the air then swallowed by the head.
