Title: Dicrurus paradiseus
Description: This male bird caught my interest not only by the size of it's tail feathers, but by the intelligent look and gothic style that this bird has. I'm particularly fascinated by the small patch of feathers on it's beak, and string like feathers near it. Some small characteristic like that lured me into this particular creature. On the one hand we have bird that most likely live in asia would have a bright colours and out there looks. On the other hand bird like this lives in Asia among other bright birds but stands out in a very humble way. I tried to show all this qualities in my work. And as a bird in almost black, I used the most simple and yet the most expressive media – pencil. I know this work is simple, but I always try to put a big effort into a simple piece.
