The Soldadinho-do-araripe is a bird discovered in 1996 in Chapado do Araripe, Northeast Region of Brazil. It is only found in the municipalities of Baralha, Crato and Missão Velha, in Ceará, where it is the unique endemic bird and one of the five species of the fauna of Ceará the most threatened by global extinction.
