Descripción: The image depicts two emblematic species for Rila National Park, one of them – the alpine God's cowslip endemic in the Rila mountains in Bulgaria. This plant has survived the last glacial period as a relict organism. Its name and the species epithet deorum refer to the presence of this species on Musala, "God's Mountain". The chamois is a species of goat-antelope native to mountains in Europe. The particular subspecies, often victim of poaching, is currently endangered in Bulgaria as well as the griffon vulture. All three species are part of reintroduction programs, which aim to restore and increase their population. The current illustration serves as a cover for the proceedings of the Internaional Scientific Conference on Rerstoration of Conservation-Reliant Species and Habitats.
