Título: Isophya dochia – The Green Duet
Especie: Isophya dochia Iorgu, 2012

Descripción: High in the mesophytic subalpine meadows of the Eastern Carpathian Mountains, a new morphologically cryptic bush-cricket was discovered based on its song by Ionuț Ștefan Iorgu, researcher at ""Antipa"" Museum, and named after Dochia, a Romanian legendary female deity of land and agriculture from the Dacian pantheon.
In mid-summer warm evenings, the males stridulate long series of short, low intensity sounds, that trigger the female acoustic response. Females find males by phonotaxis and if willing to mate with the singer they generate isolated impulses, producing a unique male–female duet. Present only in Ceahlău, Gurghiu, Hășmașu Mare and Bistrița Mountains in Romania. The insect is nowadays listed on the IUCN Red List as vulnerable to habitat degradation and fragmentation.
