Descripción: At first when I decided that sea urchin is going to be base of my scientific illustration I was so confused and surprised when I saw the skeleton of already long dead urchin. I thought of how amazingly symmetrical that was which I tried to show on my illustration but I was also confused because I was sure that urchins had hundreds of spines but all the references I kept finding were spineless. After I figured out that all this time I was just looking at skeletons I thought that in my illustration I need to make clear difference between live and dead urchin. Also, while I was researching I learned so many interesting things about sea urchins. I will treasure this experience!
