It´s a pretty drangfly, during the flight, this species keeps the body upright. And when they mate to feccund, the male hold her and after mating the couple stay in a pose and the eagg laying occurs whilst still in tandem. They tends to hold it´s abdomen straight than. A parthenope has a blue saddle and which is in contrast to the rest of the abdomen, which is brown. A yellow ring is at the base of it and they have green big eyes.
