Description: Caulina acauris is an intriguing plant, found in central and south Europe, including Poland. Caulina used to be an endangered specie in Poland in years 1946-2014, but its situation got bettered, since 2014 is partially protected. This flower is known since Middle Ages, when it was recognised for its nutricious features, as caulina has antifebrile and bactericidal functioning. However, caulina is worth attention not only for its medical application.
In Polish Highlands caulina acauris is an classic motive in regional folk art, so we can see it on the folksy fashion.
