Description: From top to bottom: maned three-toed sloth (Bradypus torquatus), Hoffmann's two-toed sloth (Choloepus hoffmanni) and pale-throated three-toed sloth (Bradypus tridactylus). Three species present in Brazil of the superorder Xenarthra, which is composed of placental mammals in the orders Cingulata (armadillos) and Pilosa (sloths and anteaters) characterized by dense fur and the presence of poorly developed teeth or their total absence. Different characteristics can be observed across these species, such as the number of fingers perceived in Bradypus (three-toed sloth) and Choloepus (two-toed sloth); different types of rostrum, color variation in the coat and they also have different habits such as the maned three-toed sloth (Bradypus torquatus) that can spend more than half the day resting.
