Description: With just a height of 3 – 6 inches in height, this nocturnal & arboreal creature is the smallest of all primates. Found in the southern part of the Philippines primarily in the island of Bohol. It has a huge pair of eyes that are fixed to the skull & do not roll in its sockets – it can rotate its head 180 degrees. It could leaps from branch to branch using its strong hind legs, It feeds on mainly on insects, small lizards & frogs. My artwork depicts a Tarsier snacking on one of its favorite meals; a bush cricket.
