Descripción: A wolf-snake was descripted on the hand-painted recovery plan from a road-killed body in Motuo County, Linzhi district of Tibet, China, tactfully showing the characters of its head, dorsals, ventrals, anal and subcaudals. Medog (Motuo County) was located on the south slope of eastern Himalayas, at the downstream of Yalung Tsangpo Grand Canyon, with rich herpetofauna but only one species, Lycodon septentrionalis was reported. During a fieldwork in October 2018, a female road-killed specimen referable to Lycodon was collected, and could not be assigned to any known related species, which we suggest to be a new species, named Lycodon chrysocinctus sp. nov with morphological and molecular evidence.
