Descripción: "Конкурс
The pink-backed pelican is the smallest of the eight pelican species. This bird can grow up to 125-155 centimeters, weight around 4 to 7 kilograms and wingspan of 2,15 to 2,9 meters. Pink-backed pelicans may live between 15 – 25 years in the wild and up to 54 years under human care.
Breeding can take place year-round and unlike many pelican species, pink-backed pelicans nest on trees. Nests are built using sticks, close one to another and one and the same nest can be reused year after year if it's in a good condition or can be repaired. After courtship, one to three eggs are laid. Both parents will help to raise the young, who will fledge between 70 – 85 days.
Designated as Least Concern, threats for them include draining wetlands, tree loss and pollution."
