Descripción: Costa Rica has a multitude of animals and plants as well as one of the greatest biodiversity on the planet. In this illustration I have represented some creatures and flora of southeastern Costa Rica. It is known that marsupials, such as kangaroos, koalas, etc., live in Australia. But during the Pangea period, marsupials moved through, let's imagine, trunks or something else and settled in North America and South America. Opossums. There are about ten species of opossums. They are marsupials and therefore have pouches, but unlike their Australian relatives, the latter have open pouches, meaning the pups have no protection. The Mexican Mouse Opossum is one of the species that lives in Central South America. The specimen I have illustrated is scratching itself with its hind leg, showing the pups that are forming in its belly.
