My illustration depicts the Common Starling or also called the European Starling. They are typically black with short tails, triangular wings, and long, pointed bills. During winter, they are covered in white spots, but turn dark and glossy in summer. My illustration shows their winter coloration.

The purpose of the illustration is to show the details of the coloration and feathers of the species.

I chose this particular bird because I immediately admired its look when I saw it in the park. It landed on the bench right next to me and sang a beautiful song. I fed it some crumbs from my croissant, and in return, it let me take a few pictures.
